Sheri Fleming
Practice Manager
Billing/Insurance Manager
Sheri joined Innovative Vein in August 2013 and brings more than 25 years of experience in medical administration. As both Practice Manager and Insurance & Billing Manager, Sheri ensures our clinic runs smoothly and efficiently for both staff and patients.
Outside the office, Sheri and her husband enjoy hiking, traveling, listening to music, and spending time with their two married children and their families. They are also deeply involved in church ministry.
Julie Helms
Administration Capacity in Pre-certifications, Prior Authorizations, Referrals, Predeterminations
Julie has been with Innovative Vein since May 2014 and handles pre-certifications, prior authorizations, referrals, and predeterminations with exceptional attention to detail. A proud Kansan native, Julie has been married for over 30 years and loves spending time with her three grown children, grandchildren, and two dogs.
In her free time, she enjoys church activities, DIY projects, traveling, reading, and discovering quaint diners. She’s also a big fan of Scooter's coffee, Mexican food, and the Dallas Cowboys!
Dawn Ordoyne
Registered Medical Assistant and Certified Phlebotomist
Dawn has been a part of Innovative Vein and Spa MD since April 2017 after earning her certifications from Wichita Technical Institute. She now serves as our Front Desk Receptionist, handling all the duties that keep our office running smoothly and ensuring every patient feels welcomed from the moment they arrive.
In addition to her front desk responsibilities, Dawn occasionally assists with patient care — including rooming patients, helping with compression stockings and wraps after procedures, and administering vitamin injections such as Lipo, Super B, Glutathione, and Vitamin D.
Dawn has a passion for helping others and plans to continue her education in the medical field to become a Physician Assistant.
She says, “Working here is awesome — I love what I do and couldn’t ask for a better group of people to work with!”
Mitzi Fecht, CMA (AAMA)
Certified Medical Assistant CMA(AAMA)
Mitzi joined Innovative Vein in August 2018 and plays a key role in patient care. Her duties include rooming patients, taking vitals, sending prescriptions, and assisting Dr. Cheatum in every way possible. She is also a compression stocking specialist and helps patients obtain pneumatic compression devices after treatment. In addition, Mitzi assists Spa MD with vitamin injections and front desk support.
Originally from Arcadia, Nebraska, Mitzi graduated from Kaplan University in Lincoln in 2013 with an Associate of Applied Science in Medical Assisting. She has been certified through the American Association of Medical Assistants since 2013. Mitzi is a proud mom to her daughter, Genevieve.
Jessie Mercer
Certified Nurse Assistant
Jessie has been part of the Innovative Vein family since September 2015. Her responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and managing the office’s medical supply orders. She also assists patients through the process of obtaining pneumatic compression devices.
Jessie is married and the proud mom of two wonderful sons who keep her active and busy.
Kristan Belknap
Outreach Coordinator
Kristan joined Innovative Vein in October 2019. She oversees scheduling and preparation for all appointments across our two outreach clinics. When on the road, she assists with both front desk and medical duties, ensuring smooth and efficient clinic operations.
Kristan enjoys spending her free time with her daughter, who keeps her on her toes outside of work.
CJ Sponsel, RDCS
Registered Sonographer
CJ has been part of the Innovative Vein team since 2010, starting as our Outreach Sonographer. Over the years, he has worked alongside four different providers and remains a vital part of our outreach services.
Outside of work, CJ enjoys life with his wife and their four children, who keep them both busy with their various activities.
Erika Flores-Dominguez, CNA
Medical Support & Spanish Interpreter
Erika joined Innovative Vein in May 2025 and has quickly become a valued member of our team. She assists with a variety of tasks around the office, including medical records management and supporting our medical assistants with patient care.
As our in-house Spanish Interpreter, Erika plays a crucial role in helping us deliver excellent care to our Spanish-speaking patients.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs.
